Jeraldine Blackman makes insensitive content of Malaysia Airlines air crash tragedy on a flight to Maldives

Last night, I was just browsing my Thread account when a Malaysian netizen took a screenshot to call out Filipino mom content creator, Jeraldine Blackman of the Blackman Family Official, for creating insensitive content about the Malaysia Airlines air crash tragedy on a flight to the Maldives with her kids. Since I love to know what’s going on, it’s time to read the comments.
What is the context of the screenshots?

Username thisispatricia_ said: One of the “try-hard” content creator cum family/kidfluencing that literally lost all the credibility because of trying too hard to get engagement.
Another username, nurfareeza09 responded: Malaysian started to welcome their family as being friendly and respectful but on her next post she makes fun of Malaysian Airlines.

At first, the photo seems harmless since you see the picture of her kids. I don’t want to judge her, but I must dig deeper to understand why Malaysian netizens are irritated towards her. I need to find the short video she posted.

Another user, arfhmmhhh responded with a video: She choose the airline and then got the anxiety? Nah… that is not shallow. That’s plain stupid. Attention seeker. Full stop.

Jeraldine Blackman acted in front of the camera, as if she were having anxiety, and ended the last scene with the logo of Malaysia Airlines, with the caption on the video:
“Me having so much anxieties because… If you know, you know.”
Quick overview of Malaysia Airlines air crash tragedies
Here’s a quick overview of the two major Malaysia Airlines air crash tragedies that happened around 10–11 years ago, both in 2014:
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370
- Date: March 8, 2014
- Route: Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) → Beijing (China)
- Aircraft: Boeing 777-200ER
- People on Board: 239
- What Happened:
- The plane vanished from radar less than an hour after takeoff.
- Last known location was over the South China Sea; it later deviated from its route and is believed to have ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
- Despite international search efforts, most of the plane was never found — only a few debris pieces washed up on beaches over the years.
- Status: Still officially missing; it’s one of the greatest aviation mysteries ever.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17
- Date: July 17, 2014
- Route: Amsterdam (Netherlands) → Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
- Aircraft: Boeing 777-200ER
- People on Board: 298 (All killed)
- What Happened:
- The plane was shot down over eastern Ukraine during the conflict between Ukraine and pro-Russian separatists.
- Investigation concluded it was struck by a Russian-made Buk surface-to-air missile.
- Result: Widely condemned as a war crime; several individuals have been charged by Dutch prosecutors.
These two tragic events occurred just months apart in 2014, devastating Malaysia Airlines and sparking major changes in airline safety, crisis management, and airspace policy.
The author’s opinion
This is not a collaboration post with Malaysia Airlines, as she paid for their flights to the Maldives. But because she is a content creator, she had the time to create INSENSITIVE CONTENT for engagement.
But why not pray? I don’t care if you’re not Catholic or you don’t believe in God, but at least have a wishful thinking to have a safe flight.
Anyway, I already unfollowed her already back in the days as I don’t like her eye-rolling act after she got her nose job. She’s acting like a MEAN GIRL and started collaborating with a male content creator as if she was attracted to him. LOL, that’s all I can say. You know that this woman already received backlash from other followers.
And this content about the air crash tragedy is just too much.
Sa Bisaya pa, lami kusi-on nang bugan nimo dinha teh kay badlongon na kaayo ka! Hahahaha!
I know she is Ilocana, I am speaking in Cebuano. But please tell her, gusto ko kurutin singit nya! XD
