NBA: Rockets Soar Past Warriors in Game 2 Playoffs as Jimmy Butler Exits Early

The Houston Rockets stormed past the Golden State Warriors with a 109-94 win in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. Golden State suffered a major setback in the first quarter when star forward Jimmy Butler went down with a pelvis contusion. Butler collided with Rockets rookie Amen Thompson while chasing a rebound and landed awkwardly. Though he briefly stayed in the game to shoot free throws, he was soon ruled out and headed to the locker room.

Fred VanVleet was steady as ever, contributing across the board with his leadership and court vision. Alperen Sengun added 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 assists, helping the Houston Rockets dominate the paint and control the boards throughout the night. Dillon Brooks chipped in 16 points and was instrumental on defense, frustrating Warriors shooters.
