GOSSIP ALERT! Kobe and Kyline break up rumor mill is working overtime, and it looks like we’ve got a new teleserye unfolding right before our IG feeds. The question on everyone’s lips: Have Kobe Paras and Kyline Alcantara called it quits? Or are they just dodging the public eye for a much-needed digital detox?

Everything started going “hmmm” when fans noticed something strange happening on social media. One day, Kyline and Kobe were your favorite #CoupleGoals, posting sweet photos and making us all believe in love again. Next thing we know, POOF! The couple photos deleted, cryptic posts uploaded, and an unfollow move that shook the KyBe fandom to its core.

Kyline posted this heavy line:

“I know my kindness hurts me, but I will continue to choose it.”

That’s not just an emotional post, that’s a whole novella compressed into one sentence!

And then came the great unfollow. Kyline, ever the bold queen, hit that “unfollow” button on Kobe’s IG. Kobe, however, still follows her, clutching that hope, maybe? Or perhaps, simply unaware of the tsunami of speculation awaiting him.

According to Ogie Diaz, your favorite showbiz spoiler with connections galore, there’s allegedly a “third party” involved in the rumored split . A certain non-showbiz girl named Puulanii was dragged into the gossip whirlwind of Kobe and Kyline break up. The accusation? She was allegedly seen getting a little too close for comfort with Kobe.

But before we could collectively say “Oh, she is the girl?”, Puulanii herself dropped a bombshell of her own.

In an Instagram Story posted on April 14, she denied all the rumors and expressed just how much the hate has taken a toll on her. Her statement read:

“Due to the seemingly random and overwhelming amount of unnecessary hate and death threats I’ve received in the past 24 hours, I’d like to squash false rumors and allegations going around social media. I never knew making friends and following people on social media was a such big deal.”

Translation? She’s just out here trying to make online friends, not break hearts!

Puulanii made it crystal clear: she’s been married for two years, and she has absolutely no part in the KyBe split drama (Kobe and Kyline break up). But wait, there’s more. A self-proclaimed fan of Kobe allegedly commented on a website, claiming to be a mutual friend and saying,

“Kobe is still my friend, but I do not condone cheating and doing this in front of us is another level of disrespect.”

Whew. That sounds… loaded.

The drama doesn’t stop there. Just when we thought all hope was lost, Kobe’s dad, basketball legend and certified #ChillTatay Benjie Paras, came in to douse the flames with his signature cool-dad vibes. When asked by PEP.ph, he said:

So basically, while fans are in panic mode, they’re just chilling!

Even Kyline’s camp seems to be playing it cool, saying things are “okay naman” between the two and that they’re also scratching their heads at the rumors of Kobe and Kyline break up.

So what’s the real deal? Was it really just an innocent IG purge that got blown out of proportion? A private couple navigating public scrutiny? Or a plot twist yet to fully unfold?

Kobe Paras, now 27, known for his basketball career from UP Fighting Maroons to Japan’s B.League, had openly admitted to dating Kyline in a 2024 Cosmopolitan PH interview. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Kyline Alcantara, known for her powerful acting chops in Annaliza, Wildflower, and Shining Inheritance, has been enjoying her rise to stardom and apparently, a fairytale romance.

But like any public couple, they’re not immune to the constant lens of social media. One archived photo, one unfollow, and suddenly, it’s BREAKING NEWS on everyone’s feed.

Final verdict?

As of this writing, there’s no confirmation from either Kyline or Kobe. Puulanii has denied the accusations. Benjie Paras says chill lang. So, unless one of them goes full “tell-all interview” or posts a #WeAreNeverEverGettingBackTogether reel, everything remains gossip with a side of cryptic posts with this Kobe and Kyline break up.
